Austenland, Take 2

Monday rolled around as did the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The munchkins were out of school and Mom got to sleep in. Oh so nice. The kids enjoyed sleeping in as well as spending most of the day lazing around watching movies and playing video games.

Since I went alone on Friday to Austenland, I decided I wanted to see it with friends as well. I invited four friends from my ward and we headed to Ogden for the screening there. We stopped first a Tepanyaki for an early dinner which was fabulous and fun.

The movie was at the historic Egyptian Theater in Ogden, built when buildings of almost any kind were more than utilitarian shelters. The movie was just as wonderful as the first time and my friends seemed to really enjoy it. We’ll definitely have to do something like this again.

(As a side note, the movie was purchased the following day by Sony for distribution so we will be having another Austenland girls’ night in the future.)
